Job Summary:


Central Christian Academy seeks a dedicated Elementary Teacher to inspire academic excellence and student growth. The ideal candidate will integrate biblical values into instruction, foster a positive learning environment, and demonstrate a passion for educating the next generation of leaders.

We are looking for an energetic, experienced Elementary Teacher to join our team! You will be leading a class of students through the school year, assessing their current academic level, and designing instruction to meet students collective and individual needs.

You are passionate about learning and helping students reach their potential. With strong creative and problem-solving skills, you love connecting with individual students and creating an engaging classroom environment.

Responsibilities
  • Create and follow a comprehensive curriculum
  • Teach reading and math skills
  • Assist children with developing social and emotional skills
  • Use a range of instructional methods and learning techniques
  • Communicate with parents and other school personnel
  • Assess student's skills and performance to ensure they are meeting developmental milestones
  • Develop and implement lesson plans that promote spiritual, intellectual, and emotional development.
  • Maintain a safe, orderly, and Christ-honoring classroom environment.
  • Assess student progress through formative and summative assessments, providing timely feedback.
  • Collaborate with faculty, staff, and parents to support students' academic growth.
  • Participate in school-wide activities, including chapel services, staff devotions, and extracurricular events.
  • Integrate biblical principles and Christian character development into daily instruction.
  • Maintain accurate records, including attendance, grades, and student evaluations.
  • Uphold and model the values, mission, and statement of faith of Central Christian Academy.
Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree and state teaching certification (Master's degree preferred)
  • Strong understanding of child development principles and best practices in education and classroom management
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of classroom health, safety, and sanitation guidelines and ability to closely adhere to the guidelines
  • Problem-solving and mediation skills
