Pediatric Developmental Services (PDS) is looking to hire a Special Education Teacher to join our staff and work in an amazing school! Elementary Teacher Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field
  • VA Teaching License
  • Experience working with K-12 children

Elementary Teacher Responsibilities:


  • Deliver instruction aligned with Virginia Standards of Learning (SOL) across subject areas

  • Differentiate lessons to support varied student needs, abilities, and learning styles

  • Monitor and assess student progress using formal and informal evaluation tools

  • Collaborate with special education staff to implement IEPs and support inclusion

  • Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding academic and behavioral development

  • Maintain accurate records of grades, attendance, and required documentation

  • Participate in professional development, team planning, and school-wide activities
