LONG-TERM SUBSTITUTE - ELEMENTARY TEACHER VACANCY
The following position is posted in accordance with the negotiated agreement:
POSITION: 1.0 FTE Long-Term Substitute Elementary Teacher (August 27, 2025- February 23, 2026)
REQUIRED CERTIFICATION: New York State Early Education Birth-Grade 2, Childhood Education Grades 1-6, Students with Disabilities B-6
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Comprehensive understanding of NYS ELA, Math, SS, and Science Next Generation Standards.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS: • Knowledge of the principles and methods for instruction at the elementary level. • Demonstrate ability to design and implement lessons to meet the learning needs of students with varying levels of ability. • Excellent communication skills and ability to create a positive student centered learning environment. • Utilization of student assessments and data processes to identify programmatic needs, as well as target support for individual students. • Collaborate with faculty and grade level team to design, modify, and implement effective lesson (unit) plans.
START DATE: August 27, 2025
SALARY: Compensation as per District/AFA Collective Bargaining Agreement
