Saint Mary Star of the Sea Catholic School (grades PreK-8) located in Hampton, Virginia, seeks an Elementary Teacher. The Elementary Teacher (K-5) is responsible for supporting student success by planning, preparing, and delivering lesson plans using instructional materials that facilitate active learning. The teacher will also develop schemes of work and assessments that align with the Consensus Curriculum and school expectations and instruct and monitor students in the use of learning materials and equipment. Ability to guide student development and formation per the school’s mission and vision with compassion, understanding and respect. Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree and current Commonwealth of Virginia Teaching License Possess a strong commitment to Catholic education Superior communication skills both written and spoken, superior interpersonal, organizational, and managerial skills, enthusiasm, positive attitude, flexibility, and hardworking Collaborative team player This is a full-time, 10 month position.
