Benjamin School District 25 is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join the team at Evergreen Elementary School. Teaching Assistants play a key role in supporting teachers and students both inside and outside the classroom. Key Responsibilities: The Teaching Assistant supports teachers and students through various classroom and school responsibilities. These include helping prepare lessons and materials, working with students individually or in small groups, and providing extra support to students with different learning needs. You'll also assist with grading, supervising the classroom, and maintaining a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment. As needed, you may need to join team meetings and parent conferences to help ensure student success. Qualifications: A High School Diploma and a valid Illinois State Board of Education ELS-Paraprofessional License are required. Ideal candidates will have strong communication skills, a collaborative spirit, and a commitment to student learning and well-being. Previous experience in a school setting and familiarity with instructional tools is preferred.
