Location: San Fernando Elementary Elementary Classroom Teacher ( Grades 4-8 ) Job Description We are looking for a committed Teacher to complement our qualified workforce of educators. You will be responsible for preparing and implementing a full educational teaching plan according to the school's requirements. It will be fundamental to provide knowledge and instruction to students while also helping them develop their personalities and skills. The ideal candidate will be passionate for the job with an ability to reach out to students and create a relationship of mutual trust. They will know how to organize a class and make learning an easy and meaningful process. The goal is to help cultivate the students' interest in education and be their dedicated ally in the entire process of learning and development.

Responsibilities Present lessons in a comprehensive manner and use visual/audio means to facilitate learning Provide individualized instruction to each student by promoting interactive learning Create and distribute educational content (notes, summaries, assignments etc.) Assess and record students' progress and provide grades and feedback Maintain a tidy and orderly classroom Collaborate with other teachers, parents and stakeholders and participate in regular meetings Plan and execute educational in-class and outdoor activities and events Observe and understand students' behavior and psyche and report suspicions of neglect, abuse etc. Develop and enrich professional skills and knowledge by attending seminars, conferences etc.

Additional Duties Performs other related tasks as assigned by administrators as designated by the Governing Board.

Equipment Uses standard office equipment such as personal computers, printer, copy and fax machines, and telephone.

Travel Requirements Travels to school district buildings and professional meetings as required.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Knowledge of current teaching methods and educational pedagogy, as well as differentiates instruction based upon student learning styles. Knowledge of elementary school curriculum and concepts. Knowledge of data information systems, data analysis and the formulation of action plans. Knowledge of applicable federal and state laws regarding education and students. Ability to use computer network system and software applications as needed. Ability to organize and coordinate work. Knowledge of CPR Ability to communicate effectively with students and parents. Ability to engage in self-evaluation with regard to performance and professional growth. Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with others contacted in the course of work. Physical and Mental Demands, Work Hazards Works in standard office and school building environments. Qualifications Profile Certification/License: Arizona State Certification as an Elementary Teacher Arizona State Certification in the appropriate grade level preferred. Education Bachelors from an accredited college or university in Elementary Education or related discipline applicable to teaching assignment. Masters Degree in related area preferred. Experience Successful prior teaching experience for the appropriate grade levels a plus.

Base level pay starting at $44,000 annually
