A position is available for a skilled Sign Language Interpreter to support K-12 students in an in-person setting. The role is based primarily in Naperville, IL, with opportunities in surrounding areas, including Burlington, IL. This is a contract position for the 2025-2026 school year, starting August 4, 2025, and ending June 6, 2026. Responsibilities: Provide accurate and effective sign language interpretation services to students and staff in classroom settings. Collaborate with educators and support staff to ensure communication access. Manage assigned caseloads with professionalism and discretion. Maintain compliance with all state and school policies related to interpretation services. Qualifications: Must hold ISBE approval as a Sign Language Interpreter. Candidates with an EIPA score of 3.0 or higher may qualify for temporary approval. Strong proficiency in sign language and interpretation techniques. Ability to work in-person during scheduled school hours. Experience in K-12 educational environments preferred. Work Schedule and Location: 32.5 to 35 hours per week, based on school schedules.
