EC Teacher Position

Amergis staffing is seeking an EC Teacher for the 25/26 school year.

Start Date: August 25, 2025

Contract Length: 20252026 School Year

Schedule: Full-time | 37.5 hours/week

Position Summary

The Special Education Teacher, under the direction of the Special Education Program Administrator, provides high-quality educational services to students with special needs in grades K12. This role requires a collaborative team player committed to planning and implementing individualized programs, including specialized instruction, tutorial support, and consultation with general education staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver instruction aligned with Extended Content Standards
  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Collect and analyze student data to inform instruction and interventions
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
  • Participate in IEP meetings and professional development activities

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university (preferred)
  • Valid North Carolina EC Teacher Licensure (required)
  • Minimum one year of teaching experience (preferred)
  • State Teacher Certification in one or more of the following:
    • Standard Elementary Teaching
    • Standard Secondary Teaching
    • Standard Special Teaching
  • Endorsement: Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1) (preferred)

  • Strong foundation in data collection and instructional planning
  • Experience working with Extended Content Standards

Compensation:

  • Bill Rate: $60/hour
  • Hours/Week: 37.5
