Description:Are you an early childhood educator who loves to nurture and support very young children, 6 weeks to 3 years old, during their earliest years?At ACAP, we’ve been empowering children and families through early childhood education for nearly 60 years. As an Early Head Start Teacher, you will create a safe and enriching environment for infants and toddlers to grow, learn, and socialize.
ACAP is hiring full-time Early Head Start Teachers for year-round positions at our early childhood education centers in Albany, New York.

****$1,500 Sign on Bonus****Pay starts at $18.78 per hour; Monday – Friday; 35 hours per week
Qualifications:Associate's degree in early childhood education or related field with at least 15 hours of ECE coursework required. A minimum of 1 year of experience with infant/toddler care in child care, daycare, or other early childhood education setting is required. A Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential with an Infant/Toddler designation and 2 years of experience in infant/toddler care will also be accepted. Valid driver’s license is a plus. Bi- or Multi-lingual skills are a plus.

- Plan and execute engaging, age-appropriate curriculum and activities that promote cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development for children ages 6 weeks to 3 years old.
- Complete child education plans, assessments, progress notes, and other required documentation.
- Create and maintain a safe, healthy environment, ensuring adequate supervision in all activities and compliance with all safety and licensing standards.
- Build strong parent/guardian-teacher relationships with regular communication and collaboration to ensure every child’s growth, development, and well-being are supported both in and out of the classroom.
