Summary

St. James' Preschool is looking for Assistant Teachers for our 2025-2026 school year. Our school year runs September-May.

The assistant teacher must be able to communicate, listen and work well with others. She/he supports the lead teacher with the implementation of the daily program and all in-school preparation of materials needed for the day's classroom activities.

Duties

Assist the lead teacher with the implementation of the daily programs and all in-school preparation of materials needed for the day's classroom activities. Actively engage in activities; manage cleanliness, order, and availability of classroom materials. Attend our weekly chapel and music with the lead teacher and classroom students. Is familiar with and follows all Preschool policies. Attend at least two (2) continuing education workshops per school year. Attend staff meetings, orientation, classroom visit and our music programs. Maintain personal professional development plan to ensure continuous quality improvement.

Requirements

High school diploma Some early childhood education experience Ability to work well with others. Infant/child CPR and First Aid certification. Must clear full background check. Must pass health screening.
