Summary

Amazing Childcare and Learning Academy is dedicated to providing high-quality early childhood education with a focus on kindergarten readiness. Our program utilizes a state-approved curriculum and offers monthly enrichment activities. We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Preschool Teacher Assistant to support our lead teachers and contribute to the growth and development of our 3 and 4-year-old students.

Position Summary: The Preschool Teacher Assistant will assist the Lead Teacher in creating a nurturing and stimulating classroom environment. This role involves supporting daily activities, preparing materials, and ensuring the safety and well-being of the children. The ideal candidate will be patient, enthusiastic, and passionate about early childhood education.

Duties

  • Assist the Lead Teacher in implementing a dynamic and developmentally appropriate curriculum.
  • Support daily classroom activities, including lesson plans, arts and crafts, playtime, and other learning experiences.
  • Help maintain a clean, safe, and organized classroom environment.
  • Supervise children to ensure their safety and well-being at all times.
  • Assist with the preparation of materials and supplies needed for daily activities.
  • Provide individual attention and support to children as needed to facilitate learning and development.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere where all children feel valued and supported.
  • Communicate effectively with the Lead Teacher and other staff to ensure a cohesive educational experience.
  • Assist with the assessment and documentation of children’s progress and development.
  • Participate in monthly enrichment activities and special events.
  • Engage with parents and guardians, providing updates on their child’s progress and daily activities.
  • Follow all state and local regulations and standards for early childhood education.


Requirements

  • Minimum of 1-2 years of professional child care experience.
  • High energy.
  • Ability to work well with others.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills and basic computer skills.
  • An understanding of child development.
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Infant/child CPR and First Aid certification, must have before starting
  • Must clear full background check and must pass health screening.


Nice To Haves

  • CDA
  • Associate's or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Art Education, or a related field.
  • Some College Credits
