Job Position: Early Childhood Special Education Teacher

Location: Near Joliet, Illinois

Pay Rate: $43.00/hr to $53.00/hr

Shift: Full-Time, In-Person during School Hours

Birch Agency is currently seeking a compassionate and dedicated Early Childhood Special Education Teacher for a full-time, in-person position near Joliet, Illinois for the 20252026 school year . This is a rewarding opportunity to support young learners during their most critical developmental years.

Position Overview:

The Early Childhood Special Education Teacher will work with children ages 35 who have a variety of developmental delays and special needs. This role involves developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), supporting early intervention strategies, and helping students build a strong foundation for future academic and social success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide developmentally appropriate instruction based on students IEP goals

• Design engaging, play-based learning activities tailored to individual needs

• Collaborate with families, related service providers, and classroom staff

• Implement positive behavior supports and early intervention strategies

• Track student progress and maintain required documentation

• Foster a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment

Qualifications:

• Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE) endorsement

• Experience working with preschool-aged children with disabilities

• Knowledge of early childhood development, intervention techniques, and family-centered practices

• Strong communication and teamwork skills

• Passion for supporting young children and their families
