Washington Episcopal School in Bethesda, Maryland, is accepting applications for a dynamic Associate Teacher in Early Childhood for the 2025-2026 school year.
The ideal candidate for the Early Childhood associate teaching position should be passionate about working with young children, have a foundational understanding of child development, and be patient and nurturing.
Requirements:
Undergraduate degree in Early Childhood Education or related field A high level of energy and initiative Strong communication and teamwork skills Responsibilities: Assist in designing, planning, and implementing age-appropriate lessons and activities Support the lead teacher in assessing and documenting children's progress Attend weekly grade-level meetings with the Early Childhood Director, Learning Specialist, and School Counselor Attend and participate in faculty meetings and department meetings Washington Episcopal School (WES) is an independent, co-educational school for students from Pre-Kindergarten 3 through Grade 8. Compensation and Benefits
Salary range: $45,000 - 60,000 Excellent health insurance The TIAA-CREF retirement annuity, up to 7.5% employer contribution Funding for professional development 60% tuition remission for the children of faculty and staff, plus additional need-based aid as applicable Complimentary Extended Day for the children of faculty and staff 50-100% tuition remission for Summer@WES for the children of faculty and staff 9 days of PTO, plus an additional three weeks of summer leave for 12-month employees
