This opportunity focuses on delivering specialized instruction to K-12 students diagnosed with dyslexia. The role requires expertise in evidence-based reading programs and a commitment to supporting students academic growth and self-advocacy skills. Key Responsibilities: Provide targeted instruction to approximately 20 dyslexic students using Basic Language Skills or Reading by Design curricula Track student progress and maintain detailed documentation to support individualized education plans (IEPs) Participate actively in ARD meetings, confidently presenting updates and student performance data Collaborate with school staff and families to foster a supportive learning environment Qualifications: Valid Texas Department of Education Teaching License Minimum of 2 years experience teaching students with dyslexia Proven proficiency with Reading by Design or Basic Language Skills programs Strong organizational and communication skills, especially related to documentation and reporting Location and Schedule:This position is based within a K-12 school environment in Austin, TX, operating on a Monday through Friday schedule from 7:45 AM to 3:30 PM for the duration of the school year (NSY).
