DSST Teach Start Fellow (Substitute Teacher to Lead Teacher Pathway)
New Today
Dsst Teach Start Fellow
Dsst Teach Start Fellows serve as full-time building substitutes at one of our DSST schools, supporting classrooms and student learning wherever needed. This requires flexibility, adaptability, and a strong commitment to our students and staff. In addition to their work in the building, Fellows receive regular coaching and professional development from Teach Start to strengthen their instructional skills, deepen their content knowledge, and prepare for a lead teaching role. The goal: by the following school year, Fellows will transition into a full-time lead teacher position with DSST, equipped with the skills, confidence, and experience to make an immediate impact in the classroom. During your application with Teach Start, you will be able to share your grade-level and subject-area preferences.
