Springfield Conservatory of Music

We are the oldest private music lesson center in the USA, est in 1902. Our teaching staff is fun and friendly. Lesson rooms are personable. Acoustic pianos and amps are in every teaching room. We have acoustic and electric drum sets.

We are looking for a drum instructor to complement our qualified workforce of instructors. Multi Instrumental teachers are also welcomed. An immediate opening for a schedule of students on monday to start in September. We also have drum rooms available on Thursday, Friday and Saturdays for a new instructor that would like additional day (s).

Lessons are a half hour long and are private instruction. You will be responsible for preparing and implementing a teaching plan according to each students needs. It will be fundamental to provide knowledge and instruction to students while also helping them develop their confidence and skills. Instrucors must prepare students for a few optional recitals a year. The ideal candidate will be passionate for the job and have an ability to reach out to students. The goal is for the students to have fun while advancing talents and skills.

*Responsibilities*

* Present lessons in a comprehensive manner and use visual/audio means to facilitate learning * Provide individualized instruction to each student * Create and distribute educational content (notes, assignments etc.) * Assess students progress and provide feedback * Maintain a tidy and orderly lesson room * Prepare students for performances * Attend and guide students with 1-3 recitals a year

*Skills*

* Proven experience as a private music teacher is preferred but not required * Ability to play/teach multi instruments is a plus * Ability to work with children and adults of all ages and skill levels * Well-organized and committed * Creative and energetic

Pay: $26.00 - $28.00 per hour
