Kids Depot, a 3-Star State of Tennessee licensed child care and preschool program providing child care for children ages 6 weeks to 12 years with a focus on self-esteem, natural learning, and school readiness, all in a nurturing, play-based environment. We are currently seeking a compassionate and energetic School Age Daycare Teacher to support and guide elementary-age students during before/after school care.

Your Role a s an Preschool Teacher: The following duties are representative of the responsibilities required for this position. Additional duties may be assigned as needed. Develop and implement a school-age curriculum that aligns with developmentally appropriate practices and encourages learning through play and structure. Plan and facilitate age-appropriate individual and group activities that promote social, emotional, cognitive, and physical growth. Support academic success by assisting children with homework completion and reinforcing classroom learning. Maintain regular communication with parents , including daily updates, informal conversations, and scheduled parent-teacher conferences. Ensure a safe, clean, and healthy classroom environment , following all hygiene and sanitation procedures and upholding child safety at all times. Model positive behavior and leadership , setting a professional tone for classroom assistants and volunteers. Supervise and guide assistants and volunteers , ensuring adherence to daily schedules, hygiene expectations, and safety standards. Ensure full compliance with all program policies, DHS licensing standards, and applicable state regulations. Maintain accurate documentation , including attendance, incident reports, and developmental observations. Pursue professional growth , maintaining personal development plans and supporting the growth of team members through shared learning and coaching. Qualifications: High school diploma or GED (required) 1+ year of experience in a supervised early childhood setting CPR & First Aid certified (preferred) Early Childhood Education credentials (CDA preferred) Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and pass a background check & drug screen Reliable transportation and schedule flexibility Valid Tennessee Driver’s License required
