Entrepreneur High School Fontana (eHigh Fontana) is a dynamic charter high school located in Fontana, CA, where students don't just learn about business-they live it. Through project-based learning and interdisciplinary instruction, students launch their own ventures, solve real-world problems, and develop entrepreneurial thinking in every subject.
We are seeking a Culinary Arts High School ePathway (Career and Technical Education/CTE) Teacher who brings creativity, innovation, and an entrepreneurial mindset to the classroom. This is not a traditional teaching position-this is a chance to inspire the next generation of business-minded thinkers, innovators, and changemakers. Our CTE pathways are taught through the entrepreneurial lens and teaches students to be college and career ready through alignment of the CTE Curriculum Model Standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and deliver teaching culinary arts instruction that is engaging, relevant, and aligned with entrepreneurial principles.
Provide instruction on for culinary arts with emphasis on (but not limited to) general culinary arts instruction and catering
Create interdisciplinary, project-based learning experiences that integrate science with entrepreneurship, business, and technology.
Serve as an FCCLA, Skills USA, and/or DECA Advisor or Assistant Advisor
Provide instruction and be willing to learn artificial intelligence (AI) and other technologies or that is related to the Culinary Arts pathway, work-based learning, eSports, and emerging instruction related
Prepare, instruct and supervise students with the appropriate teaching and supervision of student school-based internship and externships
Develop effective lesson plans that follow state approved California Career Technical Education standards and development demonstrate Hospitality, Tourism, and Recreation (HTR)/Culinary Arts skills and concepts using frequent hands-on activities, models, teacher-prepared instructional aids, supplies, technology, and lab experiences on and off campus.
Adhere to the 12 Elements of High-Quality College and Career Elements of California (formally 12 High Quality CTE Pathway Elements)
Collaborate with educators across subjects to co-create curriculum that supports student innovation and enterprise.
Guide students in making HTR/Culinary Arts career-related decisions and provide students with instruction on general employment skills including (but not limited to) communication skills, job retention skills and resume writing.
Integrate technology meaningfully into instruction to enhance learning and support 21st-century skills.
Facilitate opportunities for internships, study trips, and partnerships with community leaders and local businesses.
Prepare pathway budget each year for curriculum, supplies, and other pathway requirements
Foster a classroom culture of curiosity, risk-taking, resilience, and reflection-hallmarks of an entrepreneurial mindset.
Continually refine practice through feedback, reflection, and professional growth.
Attend required events after hours such as the Expo, CTE Advisory Committee, Career and Technical Student Organization events, etc.

Preferred Experience:
Background in entrepreneurship, business education, STEM innovation, or startup culture is a plus.
Experience teaching in urban public or charter schools.
Experience with project-based learning or interdisciplinary instruction.
Bilingual in Spanish is highly desirable.
At least two years of proven high-impact teaching experience preferred.
Strong background in related industry experience
Minimum Requirements:
High School Diploma or higher
Minimum of two (2) years or more of related work experience in the hospitality, tourism, food service or related career industry within the last five (5) years.
Possess or eligible to obtain a valid California teaching credential in Career Technical Education (CTE) Credential in Hospitality, Tourism, and Recreation (HTR)
Required Skills / Abilities:
Experience with computers and software applications.
Proficiency with or the ability to learn current software and equipment.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Physical demands
Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 10 pounds.
Occasional standing, walking, sitting, bending, and reaching.
Regular use of a computer for planning and instruction.
