Summary
Creative Learning Preschool (CLP) is looking to hire a full-time infant/toddler teacher. CLP is seeking a candidate who is able to build quality connections with families.
CLP is a play-based nonprofit preschool conveniently located just off the Capitol Square in the heart of Madison. CLP is committed to providing a nurturing environment that supports the emotional, social, physical, and cognitive development of all children. We work together with families to create a community that empowers children by instilling a positive sense of self, empathy toward others, and an appreciation for diversity.

Duties
Our Program benefits from a play-based High/Scope curriculum. Teachers plan their own classroom's individual weekly lesson plans including incorporating our downtown neighborhood, the library, Capitol lawn, and neighboring museums with guidance and training from an in-house classroom coach. Children and staff alike have fun while working and learning. Meals are served family style with a focus on food that is prepared from scratch and fresh, sourcing from our on-site garden when possible. Classrooms benefit from support staff reducing staff-to-child ratios as well as smaller group sizes.

Requirements
- Passion for early childhood education and a strong desire to make a difference every day.
- Excellent, organizational, verbal, listening, and written communication skills.
- Ability to collectively and compassionately solve problems as they arise.
- Meet physical requirements of the job including; lifting up to 50 lbs, bending, sitting on the floor, and walking long distances.
- Be at least 18 years of age.
- Have completed high school or its equivalent, as determined by the Wisconsin department of public instruction.
- Registry certificate or willingness to become a member.
- Pediatric CPR and First Aid Certification within 30 days of hire.
- Willingness to complete licensing required pre-service certifications.
Nice To Haves
- Early childhood education experience with an understanding of developmentally appropriate practices.
- Degree or credential in early childhood education or a related field.
- Experience working in group child care.
