POSITION SUMMARY:

The Chorus Instructor will provide an effective instrumental music education to students; duties include all aspects of the choral organization, auditions, programming, and rehearsing all music for performances.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Communicate with the student body and encourage participation in the choral activities.

Plan, rehearse and direct musical experiences for the school with some scheduled performances per school year;

Oversee scheduling and other arrangements for the rehearsals and concerts;

Order all supplies and materials necessary for band related activities in accordance with established procedures and budget allocations.

KEY JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university is required.

One (1) year teaching experience preferred.

Certification in Music (P-12) through the Georgia Professional Standards Commission required.
