Job Summary
Under the direction of the CTE Coordinator/Director, Office of Child Development, and immediate supervisor and within the framework of established procedures, the teacher will instruct in one or more core academic subject areas such as exploring Careers In Education both childhood and adolescent development, studying the physical, perceptual, cognitive, personality, and language developmental stages of children from preschool-age through adolescence. The CTE Child Development Teacher will lead and supervise Junior and Senior students in the capstone course for the Child Development & Education Pathway as students perform their onsite practicum. Candidates must have a strong desire to work with students to help them achieve their academic, personal, and professional goals.
