Pittsford is a prosperous, residential, suburban community located seven miles southeast of Rochester, New York. Pittsford is known for its historic village, fine suburban neighborhoods, and excellent schools.

First settled in 1789, the Village of Pittsford contains tree-shaded streets lined with historic homes and a diverse array of specialty retail shops, services, and restaurants. Metropolitan Rochester has a population of one million people and a resilient economy anchored by high-tech industries and established services. The area has a large arts community and many cultural opportunities. In addition, numerous local colleges and universities offer a wide variety of cultural and educational programs. The area offers easy access to the nearby Finger Lakes, Adirondack Mountains, and Toronto, Canada.
