Position Overview
UP Excellence Academy is seeking a passionate and results-driven Bilingual Teacher to join our team for the 2025-2026 school year. The ideal candidate is an instructional leader who believes every minute matters and is committed to providing high-quality, differentiated instruction to support both English and Spanish language learners.
Key Responsibilities Deliver Rigorous, Standards-Aligned Instruction: Plan and execute engaging, data-driven lessons that meet the needs of bilingual students, using the UP Excellence Instructional Model (I Do, We Do, You Do Together, You Do Alone, Exit Ticket). Foster Academic Growth: Ensure students master grade-level content while developing English proficiency through structured literacy and language development strategies . Create a Culture of Excellence: Set high expectations for all students , maintain strong classroom management, and create a structured, joyful learning environment . Maximize Instructional Time: Implement bell-to-bell instruction , incorporating checks for understanding, discourse, and experiential learning . Monitor & Drive Student Achievement: Use assessments and student data to inform instruction and provide targeted support through small group interventions and high-impact tutoring . Collaborate & Grow: Engage in weekly PLCs , coaching cycles, and professional development to continuously refine instructional practices. Partner with Families: Build strong relationships with parents through regular communication, conferences, and progress updates . Qualifications & Skills Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field (Master's preferred) Valid Texas Teaching Certification with Bilingual (EC-6) or ESL Supplemental endorsement Fluency in English & Spanish (reading, writing, speaking) Experience working with emergent bilinguals and students in high-need communities Proven track record of student achievement and growth Strong knowledge of TEKS, best practices for bilingual education, and language acquisition strategies Growth mindset and a relentless commitment to student success Why Join UP Excellence Academy?
