Bilingual Teacher (K-8 ESL) .5 Position

The Lawndale Community Academy is seeking a dedicated Bilingual Teacher (K-8 ESL) to join our team. This position is responsible for providing high-quality education to students in grades K-8, focusing on English language acquisition and overall academic growth.

Responsibilities include:

• Developing and implementing lesson plans that meet the diverse needs of students
• Delivering instruction in both English and the student's native language
• Assessing student progress and providing feedback to students and parents
• Collaborating with other teachers and staff to support student learning
• Participating in professional development and staff meetings

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Education or a related field
• Valid teaching certification in the state of employment
• Bilingual in English and another language preferred
• Experience working with ESL students
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
