We're opening our first Chicago location in the vibrant River North neighborhood and are seeking passionate, dedicated Lead and Assistant Teachers to join our founding team.
Lead Teacher Responsibilities:
- Lead daily lessons using a thoughtfully developed curriculum, with opportunities to contribute your own creative ideas.
- Create a warm, nurturing, and stimulating classroom environment that supports each child's development.
- Communicate consistently and thoughtfully with families through daily conversations, messages, and documentation.
- Collaborate with your teaching team to deliver a consistent and high-quality educational experience.
Lead Teacher Minimum Qualifications (Illinois DCFS Standards):
- Must be at least 19 years of age.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Must meet one of the following:
- 60 semester hours (or 90 quarter hours) from an accredited college or university, with at least 6 semester hours in early childhood education or child development; OR
- A current CDA (Child Development Associate) credential and proof of enrollment in college-level coursework; OR
- An associate or bachelor's degree in early childhood education or a related field.
- Must be fluent in both Spanish and English (spoken and written).
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
Assistant Teacher Responsibilities:
- Support the Lead Teacher with classroom preparation, routines, and learning activities.
- Collaborate with the teaching team to provide a safe, engaging environment for children.
- Build positive relationships with children, families, and co-workers.
- Be open to coaching and committed to your own professional growth.
Assistant Teacher Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Actively working toward meeting Illinois DCFS Lead Teacher qualifications.
- Must be fluent in both Spanish and English (spoken and written).
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
