We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Assistant Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will support the lead teacher in creating a nurturing and engaging learning environment for children. This role is essential in promoting childhood development and fostering a love for learning among students. The Assistant Teacher will work closely with children, parents, and staff to ensure that each child receives the attention and support they need to thrive.

Responsibilities


  • Assist the lead teacher in implementing daily lesson plans and educational activities.
  • Provide care and supervision for toddlers and preschool-aged children, ensuring their safety and well-being.
  • Change Diapers, Lift weights up to 20-30 pounds
  • Support literacy education by encouraging reading and writing skills through interactive activities.
  • Help manage classroom behavior by applying effective behavior management techniques.
  • Engage with children to promote social skills, emotional development, and positive interactions.
  • Collaborate with the lead teacher in curriculum development tailored to meet the diverse needs of students.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and stimulating classroom environment conducive to learning.
  • Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns that may arise.
  • Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities.
Experience


  • Previous experience working with children in an educational setting is preferred.
  • Knowledge of childhood development principles, particularly in preschool or special education settings.
  • Familiarity with classroom management strategies and behavior management techniques.
  • Experience in Early Childhood Education is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and colleagues.
  • English (intermediate level): Able to carry simple conversations in English
  • A passion for early childhood education and a commitment to fostering a positive learning environment.
