Spend your days with bright and energetic kiddos in your role as Assistant Teacher at our Bright Horizons partner daycare(s). This job will support several locations in the local Charlottesville area.

Are you a natural teacher or caregiver for young children? Do you get excited to see the wonder in the eyes of children when playing make-believe, doing craft projects or hearing a book for the first time?

Assistant Teacher positions are available working with toddlers and preschoolers. If you have experience as a babysitter, summer nanny, church nursery, camp counselor or the like, we'd like to hear from you!

You will be eligible for: Competitive starting hourly wage ( starting at $21-$24/hr ) Eligible for full time hours during the week (Monday – Friday) On-the-job training and professional development. You will provide the following: Create and implement hands-on activities based on your observations of children’s interests and skills. Associate Teacher requirements: At least 18 years of age with a high school diploma or GED Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Must be willing to undergo a background check, abuse and neglect screening, and fingerprinting Willing to get your CPR and First Aid certification and Tuberculosis Screening Complete online training (state required 10 hours + company specific) Demonstrated experience working with children or excellent customer service experience Full-time and part-time positions available.
