We are seeking a dedicated, experienced, and highly motivated Assistant Director / Lead Teacher to join our leadership team! This position combines classroom leadership with administrative responsibilities to ensure a safe, nurturing, and high-quality learning environment for our children, families, and staff.
You will work closely with the Director to manage daily operations, provide instructional leadership, and maintain compliance with all state licensing regulations. This is a great opportunity for an early childhood professional who is passionate about teaching and ready to take on a leadership role.
Responsibilities
Assist the Director with daily operations, staff supervision, and scheduling.
Lead classroom instruction, creating and implementing age-appropriate lesson plans.
Ensure compliance with state licensing regulations, health, and safety standards.
Foster strong relationships with families through regular communication and engagement.
Mentor and support teachers to maintain high-quality instruction and care.
Monitor and assess childrens progress to ensure developmental goals are met.
Help organize special events, staff training, and program improvements.
Qualifications
Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or related field (Bachelors preferred).
Minimum of 3 years experience in early childhood education, including leadership or supervisory experience.
Strong understanding of child development principles and best practices in early education.
Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
Knowledge of classroom health, safety, and sanitation guidelines.
Problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills.
Valid drivers license.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
