Job Summary The Music Teacher is responsible for planning and implementing a program to teach young children music, ensuring their social development and exposure to various music styles. The teacher will collaborate with classroom teachers on student expectations, social games, and the integration of music for children aged 2-5 years. The teacher will visit each classroom once a week for 30 minutes. The school has a wide range of musical instruments, age-appropriate music games, accessories, and resources.
Hours: 6-10 hours weekly, between 8:30-11:30, starting Fall 2025
Introduce students to participate in and enjoy music
Plan and lead the Advent program and Spring Concert
Encourage students to appreciate a variety of music styles
Manage classrooms and work with students of all abilities and social awareness
Lead group social games and incorporate a variety of play into music activities
Job Requirements Ability to navigate multiple stairs and playground surfaces
Sit on the floor and smaller chairs to work with children
Ability to lift 40 lbs on a daily basis
Complete Protecting God's Children training and background check
