The Board of Education is seeking applications for the following position:

2025-2026 Anticipated Opening Teacher of ELA, at Janis E Dismus Middle School

QUALIFICATIONS: Valid New Jersey Instructional Certificate for Reading Teacher, and/or Reading Specialist Demonstrate knowledge of effective teaching methods and developmentally appropriate classroom activities Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of child growth and development, effective instructional strategies, classroom management, learning assessments and diagnosis, and research related to learning Comprehensive knowledge of the content field when holding a content specific teaching responsibility on the elementary level Demonstrate the ability to use student information systems, virtual communication and instruction, and electronic assessment Ability to maintain a positive learning environment Strong interpersonal and communication skills Demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing, using proper grammar and vocabulary. Exhibit a personality that demonstrates enthusiasm and interpersonal skills to relate well with students, staff, administration, parents and the community.
