Cheshire Public Schools is anticipating openings in our K-6 Elementary Schools for the 2025-2026 school year. We hope that you consider applying.
Description:
Exciting opportunities for individuals who possess excellent interpersonal skills, high energy level, creativity and the ability to teach all levels of elementary students. Must demonstrate a thorough knowledge of, and the ability to teach all students reading, writing, speaking and listening skills in a heterogeneous, academic environment. The ability to create a positive, enthusiastic, dynamic classroom atmosphere implementing cooperative learning and participation in classroom activities is necessary.
Qualifications:
Applicants must posses Connecticut Teaching Certification in Elementary Education #001, #002, #005, or #013.
Salary:
In accordance with the Agreement Between Cheshire Board of Education and the Education Association of Cheshire.
Benefit:
Children of a teacher who does not reside in Cheshire may attend the Cheshire Public Schools so long as the teacher continues to teach in Cheshire and pays 50% of the published regular education tuition cost, plus any additional costs incurred by the District regarding their child.
