Beansprouts Preschool is looking for an AM Lead 2s Teacher for the 2025-2026 school year!
Founded in 1980 in Park Slope, Brooklyn, Beansprouts offers preschool, after-school, and day camp programs and serves children from ages 1.9 to 9. SUMMARY OF POSITION:
Today, Beansprouts is seeking an AM Lead 2s Teacher to join our preschool team for the 2025-2026 school year. This is an excellent opportunity for someone interested in education to gain experience in the field and learn from a fun, creative, and supportive team. RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Planning curriculum
- Promote the social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development of preschool-aged children
- Interact, support, and work with parents by sending reports, newsletters and other communication; also meet one-on-one to provide feedback
- Establish a mutually respectful and productive classroom
- Provide leadership and guidance to your teaching team
- Participate in school meetings
- Engage in ad hoc projects and tasks as assigned.
HOURS:
- Monday - Friday: 8am - 12:30pm
- Part time
- 10-month school year (plus an option for a summer program)

Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Education Requirements:
- Possess an Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education
- OR is working towards or possess a Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education or related (minimum of 90 credits required)
- OR be enrolled in or possess a Master's Degree Program for Early Childhood Education
- OR possess a valid NYS teaching license in Early Childhood Education
- Must possess at least two years of classroom teaching experience in an established childcare program.
- Must demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills; and be team-oriented, nurturing, patient, and reliable.
- Can work Monday - Friday from 8 am to 12:30pm
**As per Department of Health regulations, a background check and medical will be required for employment.
Salary Description
$25 - $35 per hour
