Alternative Instructional Setting Teacher (AIS)

Seeking a highly motivated teacher for an Alternative Instructional Setting classroom for students in grades 7-8. The candidate will work cooperatively with other classroom teachers while using On-line Instruction. The candidate will support general education students who have difficulty managing their behavior and require an alternative academic setting.
The candidate should be willing to build good relationships with students and have firm expectations, has high academic expectations, takes the initiative to make AIS “hers/his” – takes ownership of the program, good communicator with everyone including parents, thinks creatively, uses various teaching methods, understands how to collect and use data for improvement.
