School Age Teacher (Kinder To 5th)

General qualifications: must meet the qualifications of his/her state and those set forth in the National Standards for hiring, including the following:

• Ability to hear the conversational voice, with or without a hearing aid
• Ability to see and read newsprint, with or without corrective lenses
• Ability to speak and be understood under normal circumstances
• Ability to lift and carry children and other items weighing up to 50 pounds
• Ability to use arms, hands, legs, and feet, with or without corrective devices; this includes the ability to evacuate the building during emergencies
• Ability to handle crisis situations, especially where children are involved
• Ability to respond immediately to emergency situations

Preferred but not required qualifications:

• Willing to drive an after school bus. An increase in compensation will be made if you have or attain a CDL license.
• To meet driving requirements, must be at least 21 years of age and no driving moving violations within past 3 years and hold a current TX drivers license.
• Prior experience working with school age summer camp and/or after school program in a licensed childcare center.

Employment is contingent upon cleared DFPS, DPS, and FBI Background Checks.

Job Type: Full time and part time

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday
• No weekends

Supplemental Pay:

• Bonus pay
