Small Faces is looking for an Afterschool teacher to join a teaching team of 3 teachers working with children in grades K-5th in the afternoons and support a Preschool classroom in the mornings.

This shift is full time 10:00am-6:00pm with a paid half hour lunch. On days Seattle Public School are closed and Small Faces is offering a full day program children K-5th grade, After School Teachers work various shifts, typically 7:30-4, 8:30-5:00 or 9:30-6:00.

*Qualifications:*

Candidates for this position must be

* 18 years old * Have at least one year experience working with children in a group care setting * Have a high school diploma or equivalent

*Note: *If offered employment, hire is contingent providing 3 references and evidence of compliance with city, state, and federal legal requirements which include:

* Registering in DCYF (Department of Children Youth and Families) Early Educators State Registry, MERIT (Must be complete before hire) * Ability to obtain and maintain DCYF background check and finger print clearance (Must be complete before hire) * Results of a TB test that are not older than 12 months (Due at hire) * Proof of MMR vaccine (Due at hire) * 30 hour basic training MERIT course certificate (Due at hire or by the end of the 3 day orientation period) * Current CPR and First aid training (Due at hire) * Blood Borne Pathogens Certificate from the last 12 months (Due by the end of the 3 day orientation period) * Food Handler's Permit (Due by the end of the 3 day orientation period)
