- You absolutely love working with kids. The feeling when you help a student have a "lightbulb moment" is the best thing ever. - You believe in alternative education and may have ranted about the flaws in our current education system within the past 48 hours. - You approach teaching with joy and a positive mindset. - Being late is a foreign concept to you. - You are comfortable committing to a consistent weekly schedule. - You have some previous coding experience or you are eager to learn. - You are a lifelong learner and are insatiably curious. - You're excited to explore and teach emerging tech, including AI

*About the Role*

- We are looking for after school teachers for our coding program in Scarsdale, Westchester.

-You will need to commit to weekly classes from September 8th to January 31st, at a minimum (we are off for major school holidays & breaks). Priority will be given to teachers who can commit for the entire school year.

- You will need to be available on Thursdays and Fridays to teach two 1.5 hour classes, from 4-7:30pm

-You may have the opportunity to teach additional classes outside of this window, including in-school opportunities and private lessons, as needed.

Our teachers never lecture; instead, they ask targeted questions using the Socratic Method to get students thinking and problem-solving on their own. Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
