As an After School Teacher , which we call an Explorer Teacher at Primrose School of Ashburn, you'll help care for little ones aged 5 to 12 who are enrolled in our before and after school program. You'll implement a fun and flexible curriculum with student-led projects that focus on leadership, character development and design thinking. This job is from 9am until 6 pm and will require driving a mini school van to pick up students from LCPS.

Make a difference every day Spend your days building genuine relationships with each child. Help children learn and explore in the areas that interest them, from technology to art and more. Maintain a well-kept classroom that encourages children to create, explore and make decisions with confidence. Discover what works best for each child as you teach them about the world around them. Driving School Bus and transporting students from local schools to Primrose. Bring children on exciting outings as they develop a lifelong love of learning. Maintain the safe operating condition, fuel and cleanliness of the vehicle, immediately reporting any problems to the Director. Follow procedures to guarantee no child is left alone on a bus without adult supervision. Ensure that the communication device (e.g., cellular phone, two-way radio) is in proper working order before each trip. Meet all job requirements including being at least 21 years of age, having a driver's license and completing a driving test.
