*Position Overview:*
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Head Afterschool Teacher to join our team. This role involves supervising and engaging with school-age children from the time they are dismissed from school until 6:30 PM. The Afterschool Teacher will create a positive, enriching experience for the children, helping with homework, facilitating activities, and ensuring a safe and supportive environment.
*Key Responsibilities:* * Supervise and engage with children during afterschool hours. * Assist children with homework and academic enrichment activities. * Plan and implement creative and educational activities. * Ensure the safety and well-being of all children in your care. * Communicate effectively with parents, guardians, and staff. * Maintain a positive, inclusive, and respectful environment.
*Qualifications:* * High school diploma or equivalent; some college coursework or a degree in education or a related field is preferred. * Experience working with school-age children in a group setting. * Strong communication and interpersonal skills. * Ability to work collaboratively with a team. * Reliable and punctual with a strong commitment to child development.
