Job Title - After School Teacher/Site Coordinator

FLSA Classification - Non-exempt

Salary Grade - Regular, Full-time, 35 hours/week, $24.50 per hour

Report to - Director of Children's Programs

Work environment - 1737 NW 26th Ave. Portland, OR 97210

Schedule - Monday through Friday, 10:30am-6pm. Hours vary for school in-service days, conference days, winter break, and spring break. This is an in-person position. Work is not remote.

Supervision - This position is not responsible for the supervision of other staff members.

Site Coordinator Summary

The Site Coordinator is responsible for the day-to-day operation of their assigned site (Friendly House or Chapman Elementary). The Site Coordinator will support the Director of Children's Programs with administrative functions for their assigned site as described in the essential functions below.

Teacher Summary

This position will plan and implement safe, developmentally appropriate activities with the responsibility of managing their group of children in collaboration with other program staff. The After School Teacher will ensure the enrichment, social development, health, and safety of children in the After School Program. This job is performed in classrooms at Friendly House, Chapman Elementary School, Wallace Park, occasional field trips off site, and the two-block walking route between Friendly House and the park. One of our buildings is non-ADA-compliant. This position will adhere to all childcare regulations. This is a 35-hour per week position.
