Our Elementary School Part-Time After School Assistant Teacher Our Elementary School, admiringly named "Dos Amigos", at School in the Square is a Dual Language PreK-5th grade program dedicated to providing each student with the tools and support to become lifelong learners. Dos Amigos provides a creative, bilingual immersion program alongside a focus on SEL. We are looking for dedicated, mission-aligned part-time after school assistant teachers who have a passion for bilingual immersion. Reporting to our After School Manager and in collaboration with a diverse and committed Elementary School Staff, you will assist in a range of classes and activities while supporting the overall well-being of students attending the After School program. You are creative and caring. You are flexible and adaptable based on the needs of our unique program. Duties and Responsibilities: Availability to work Monday through Friday 3:30 PM - 5:30 PM, potential to work til 6:00 PM. Provide help with arrival and dismissal of students Supervise the transition of all students to their daily activities Help with Attendance and constant supervision of all grade level students Organization, dispersing and collection of supplies Helping with the distribution and cleaning up of snack and daily used spaces Supervision of students during after care programs Working alongside and reporting to both the after school manager and coordinator daily Supervising students transitions outdoors to local parks Supervising appropriate usage of technology including but not limited to conduct, treatment of supplies and locking up of equipment Ability to work with other adults in a lead or assistant teacher role Coverage of classes when absences occur Contribute to a Collaborative and Cohesive Staff Learning Community Model life-long learning through professional development and individual growth activities Show evidence of utilizing constructive feedback to enhance the quality of work. Demonstrate teamwork, actively modeling cooperation and helpfulness for students Engage in respectful and critical dialogue to contribute to the school's evolution. Maintain optimism and flexibility Follow school protocols as outlined in the Policies and Procedures Manual and Employee Handbook.
