Advanced Biology Teacher (Grades 11 & 12) - 2025-2026 School Year

Are you passionate about teaching advanced biology and inspiring high school students to reach their full potential? We are seeking a dedicated Advanced Biology Teacher to deliver high-quality instruction aligned with International Baccalaureate (IB) standards for 11th and 12th graders.

Location: Bensalem, PA 19020

Compensation: $51,000 - $66,000 per year (depending on experience and qualifications)

Position Overview:
As an Advanced Biology Teacher, you will provide rigorous, engaging biology instruction to prepare students for success in advanced studies and beyond. You will foster an inclusive classroom environment that supports diverse learners and encourages scientific inquiry and critical thinking.

Key Responsibilities:

Teach advanced biology courses to 11th and 12th grade students in accordance with IB standards
Develop and implement lesson plans that promote student engagement and mastery of complex scientific concepts
Collaborate with colleagues to support a cohesive and inclusive learning community
Utilize research-based instructional strategies and effective classroom management techniques
Communicate effectively with students, families, and staff to support student growth and development

Qualifications:

Valid Pennsylvania Department of Education (PDE) certification in Biology (required)
Strong commitment to inclusive education
Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
Excellent research, planning, organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
Positive approach to student engagement and development
Proficiency with MS Office and Google Docs
