We are seeking a licensed Adaptive Physical Education (APE) teacher for the upcoming school year in a district near Urbancrest, OH. This full-time position involves evaluating and supporting students motor and physical development, writing and monitoring IEPs, and collaborating with educational staff to deliver tailored physical education programs. Key Responsibilities: Evaluate motor and physical development as part of the student evaluation team Write, implement, and monitor IEPs for students qualifying for Adaptive P.E. services Attend IEP meetings as needed Collaborate with special education teachers, general education teachers, and P.E. staff to develop appropriate Adaptive P.E. programs Provide instructional programs adapted to individual student needs Work with individuals and groups on motor skills, coordination, physical fitness, and social-psychological performance Modify regular P.E. curriculum for Adaptive P.E. students Provide in-service training to staff and community as needed Consult with students, parents, teachers, and administrators Maintain communication with building P.E. instructors, special education staff, principals, and administrators Qualifications: Valid Ohio Adaptive Physical Education teaching certification/license required Experience evaluating motor development and writing IEPs Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams Strong organizational and communication skills To Apply: Email grace.headrick@soliant.com or call (470) 201-1889
