Were seeking a talented, part-time Adaptive Physical Education Teacher to join our school-based services team in Richardson, Texas.
Professional License Requirements: Applicants are required to have the following, legally mandated certifications. Applicants without these requirements will not be considered.
Hold a bachelors or masters degree in Physical Education or a related field
Hold a valid Texas teaching certificate with a specialization in Adaptive Physical Education
CPR and First Aid certification preferred
What to expect from this role: Experience working in schools or with children with disabilities is a plus but not required.
Design and implement adapted physical education programs for students with disabilities
Assess students physical abilities and limitations
Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) in collaboration with special education teams
Modify games, sports, and physical activities to ensure accessibility and inclusion
Monitor student progress and adjust programs as needed
Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and families to support student development
Promote physical well-being, motor skills development, and social interaction
Maintain accurate documentation of student performance and program effectiveness
Ensure all activities comply with safety standards and regulations
