District: Bensenville Elementary School District 2 Description: Blackhawk Middle School is seeking a versatile long-term susbstitute that has working knowledge of grades 6-8 Next Generation Science Standards and Illinois Learning Science Standards. Potential candidates should be well versed in the academic, social/emotional needs of middle school students, and possess a willingness to devote the time required to be successful with high needs students. The teacher must be collaborative and collegial and be an active, positive presence that promotes a safe and welcoming learning environment for both students and colleagues.

Qualifications: Professional Educators License with Middle School Science endorsement. Successful teaching experience desired, but not necessary. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to provide differentiated science instruction. Ability to be an effective member of a team. Commitment to data-based decision making and continuous improvement model.

This is for a maternity leave. The position will start the beginning of the 25-26 school year for 12 weeks.

Dates: 8/18/25 - 11/7/2025.

Pay: $250/day
