Summary We are seeking a dedicated and passionate educator to join our team at EC Middle / High School. The ideal candidate will inspire and engage students in grades 6-8 through innovative teaching methods and a commitment to fostering a positive learning environment. This full-time position requires a strong understanding of middle school curriculum and the ability to connect with students at this critical stage of their academic journey.
Responsibilities - Develop and implement lesson plans that align with state standards and meet the diverse needs of students. - Create a stimulating classroom environment that encourages student participation and fosters a love for learning. - Assess and evaluate student progress through various methods, including tests, projects, and observations. - Provide timely feedback to students and communicate effectively with parents regarding academic performance and behavior. - Collaborate with fellow educators to enhance curriculum and share best practices. - Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational trends and methodologies. - Support students in their social and emotional development, promoting a positive classroom culture. - Manage classroom behavior and implement effective discipline strategies in accordance with school policies. - Facilitate extracurricular activities, clubs, or tutoring sessions as needed. - Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and other required documentation.
Requirements - Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field; Master's degree preferred. - Valid teaching certification for middle school education. - Experience teaching students in grades 6-8 is highly desirable. - Strong knowledge of middle school curriculum and educational best practices. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - Ability to adapt teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles. - Proficient in using technology and digital tools to enhance learning. - Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. - Commitment to fostering an inclusive and equitable learning environment for all students. - Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and the community.
