4th Grade Teacher - Cornerstone Academy Cornerstone Academy is seeking a passionate and dedicated Grammar School Teacher to teach students in 4th grade. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to classical Christian education, a love for young learners, and the ability to teach multiple subjects—including reading, writing, math, science, history, and Latin—through the lens of a biblical worldview. We are looking for a teacher who can nurture intellectual curiosity, godly character, and a love for learning in the formative years of each child’s education. Key Responsibilities Teach core elementary subjects such as reading, writing, mathematics, science, history, and Bible, integrating a biblical worldview throughout the curriculum.
Foster a classroom environment that encourages curiosity, critical thinking, joyful learning, and Christ-centered character formation.
Utilize classical teaching methods, including narration, memorization, copywork, and recitation.
Provide differentiated instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners.
Maintain positive, regular communication with parents regarding student progress and classroom expectations.
Collaborate with fellow teachers and administrators to support the school’s classical Christian mission.
Participate actively in the life of the school community, including events, chapel, and ongoing professional development.
Qualifications Bachelor’s degree; degree in elementary education or a related field preferred.
An understanding of classical education and Christian worldview integration (or willingness to be trained).
Teaching experience preferred, especially in elementary grades.
Strong classroom management and organizational skills.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
