Location: Marion, NC Duration: School Year An opportunity has arisen for dedicated and skilled candidates to provide essential educational support to kindergarten students in an engaging elementary setting. This role focuses on delivering quality instruction and personalized assistance to enhance the learning experience for students with visual impairments. Key Responsibilities: Conduct one-on-one teaching sessions with a kindergarten student, fostering an inclusive learning environment. Plan and implement individualized educational strategies tailored to meet each student's unique needs. Facilitate four 90-minute sessions per week, ensuring consistent and supportive learning. Provide direct instructional support for 6 hours weekly, alongside 2 hours of indirect assistance, such as planning and assessment. Collaborate with other educational professionals and families to monitor student progress and adjust approaches as necessary. Utilize specialized teaching methods and materials in Spanish, promoting accessibility and understanding for all students. Engage students through interactive and enjoyable activities designed to build confidence and skills. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Special Education, Visual Impairments, or a related field. Valid certification or license for Teaching Visually Impaired Students. Proficient in Spanish, with the ability to communicate effectively with students and families. Experience working with young children, particularly in an educational setting. Strong organizational and planning skills to develop effective lesson plans.
