VocoVision is seeking a qualified Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) to provide virtual educational services to students across the state of Alabama. This is a flexible, remote opportunity to help students achieve their academic goals while working from home.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver instruction to deaf and hard of hearing students via teletherapy
Adapt curriculum to meet the needs of individual students and IEP goals
Collaborate with parents, school staff, and other service providers to support student success
Provide consultation on hearing technologies (hearing aids, cochlear implants, etc.)
Monitor student progress and report on their academic and developmental milestones
Job Details:
Contract Type: 1099 independent contractor
Schedule: Flexible, based on school hours and student needs
Location: Fully remote, work-from-home position
Compensation: Competitive hourly rate, commensurate with experience
Qualifications:
Bachelors or Masters degree in Deaf Education or related field
State certification as a Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing
Previous experience in a school setting, preferably working with deaf or hard of hearing students
Strong knowledge of assistive listening devices and related technologies
Excellent communication skills and comfort with teletherapy platforms
Reliable internet and video conferencing setup
