The Veterans Early Learning Center is seeking a collaborative and student-centered Kindergarten Special Education Teacher to support inclusive instruction for students with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). The teacher will work alongside general education staff to deliver specially designed instruction and accommodations within the general education classroom, ensuring all students can access the curriculum and thrive in a supportive, developmentally appropriate environment. Key Responsibilities: Provide direct and indirect special education services to students with IEPs within the inclusive kindergarten classroom. Co-plan and collaborate with general education teachers to differentiate instruction and implement accommodations and modifications. Deliver targeted, evidence-based interventions in literacy, math, social-emotional skills, and executive functioning. Monitor and document student progress toward IEP goals using data-based decision-making. Maintain up-to-date special education documentation in compliance with federal, state, and district requirements. Participate in IEP development, progress reports, and meetings with families and service providers. Support classroom routines, transitions, and social integration for students with disabilities. Collaborate with related service providers (e.g., speech-language pathologist, occupational therapist, school psychologist) to coordinate services and supports. Administer special education testing for students required for initial eligibility and three year re-evaluation meetings as assigned. Working Conditions: School-based inclusive classroom environment. Frequent collaboration with multiple stakeholders (general education teachers, specialists, families). May include occasional pull-out or small group support, depending on student needs.
