$1,800 per week (including untaxed stipends) Job Description: Soliant Education is seeking a dedicated and flexible Travel Special Education Teacher for a school-based contract position in Chicago, IL. This is a great opportunity for educators who are passionate about supporting diverse learners and who thrive in dynamic, collaborative environments. As a Travel Special Education Teacher, you will provide instruction and support to students with varying exceptionalities, ensure IEP compliance, and work closely with general education staff, families, and related service providers to help students succeed both academically and socially. Key Responsibilities: Provide direct instruction and classroom support to students with mild to moderate disabilities in inclusive or self-contained settings Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in accordance with state and federal regulations Conduct assessments and progress monitoring to inform instruction and document student growth Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and school staff to ensure inclusive practices Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and staff development sessions Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with IDEA and local district guidelines Travel between assigned school(s), if applicable Qualifications: Bachelors or Masters degree in Special Education or related field Valid Illinois Special Education Teaching Certification (or eligibility to obtain before start date) Experience working with students in school settings (PreK12) Knowledge of IEP development and implementation, classroom management, and differentiated instruction Strong interpersonal and communication skills Adaptable, organized, and able to build positive relationships with students and staff Perks of the Position: Competitive weekly compensation + tax-free travel stipends Housing assistance or per diem (if applicable) Reimbursement for certification and CEUs Health, dental, and vision insurance packages 401(k) retirement plan options Ongoing support from Soliants education-focused clinical and recruitment team Contact Information: If youre interested in bringing your expertise to a vibrant school community in Chicago, reach out to: Jabari Thomas Account Executive | Soliant Education
